Wowsers! Jumpin' Gee-hosifats! Good googley-boogely. And then some!
How many years have I been doing this? Or should I say, how many consistent months have I been doin' this? That's a better question, and one that I suppose I should fess up to, right here and right now. As I am sure, many of you have noticed I have been slacking over the past year or so. When I first started, I came on with such vim and vigor and gusto that you would have thought I was 30 years younger, but that wasn't (and isn't) the case. I feel myself slowing down, so the reason for this missive is to let you know that I am going to take a bit of a reprieve here ... take not just second seat or third, but actually take a bow and let Marilyn have the reins for a while. She's good ... naw, naw, naw, she's very good! And I am sure you all know that she keeps at it and all of your stories you submit, at any Ghostories submittal port, she gets a copy of, so you can be sure she'll give it a fair review and post it online as the months go by.
I know there is much more I want to say, so as time permits, I might add to this. I want to thank you all for coming here, and for all the nice things everyone has said over the years. If there were any disappointments, which were few and far between, I guess I would have liked to see more T-shirt sales (only because of my ego, has nothing to do with money) and that government rube in DC who could not get it through her thick head that we have been here for over 7 years.
But you try to prove something to government ... and you'll find it's just not a happenin' thing.
Well, for now, I am going to close and want you all to know how much I have enjoyed being here for you. It is time though, that I take some time off, and so, I encourage you to be sure to log in weekly and check out what Marilyn has in store ... it is sure to please.
High fives, thanks mucho ... see you down the road a piece. I am not hanging my hat up for good, but for a while I'm tradin' it in on a pair of hiking shoes.
