Here is yet another "bad road"... This time in Kentucky.
The Mechanic....

On January 31, 2004, my 19 year old son was late getting home...I was laying in bed worried about where he was. I'm a nurse, and so you can imagine my thoughts. I didn't know whether to be mad or worried. Around 3:15 AM, I heard the front door slam and then heard my son running up the stairs. He came into my room, tapped me on the shoulder and said "there's ghost on Palatka Road".
I remember saying something like "oh really?". He then tapped me again and said "I saw it". Thinking he and his friends were trading stories, I rolled over and tried to go to sleep. He then started crying, and said "Mom, you're not listening to me! He touched me!"
I then
sat up, disturbed by what he was trying to say. He related to me that his car
had died on the way home, hence his late arrival. He said that he popped the
hood and was leaning in over the drivers side front wheel. He felt a cold
sensation on his right side, thinking it was just cold air, he ignored it. Then
it gripped his side.
He stood up and turned to see a man standing behind him. He said he saw the man
returning his arm to his side after touching him. He then focused on the man's
face, saying that he had "kind eyes" and a moustache.
Although the man never said a word, my son got the distinct "get out" from the
man. My son then said he noticed he could see the trees of a local park through
the man, and with that realization, the man simply vanished.
Well! It sounds like it just 'aint safe to drive out there no more!
So there you have it ladies & gents! If anyone knows anymore information regarding this stretch of road or has photos of the area please
