For the
past few years, I have been driving home from my boyfriend's house every single
night. We both live in a rural area, about a 15 minute drive away from each
other. This particular night, on my drive home, I had a
strange "vision", if that's what I should call it.
This night, I should have just stayed home with my family. It was after 11 p.m. and it was snowing heavily, and the huge white flakes were blowing directly into my windshield as I was driving. I could only go about 30 mph, and see where I was going. I was almost home. I turned onto my Caliche County Road carefully.
For some reason, I looked into my side driver's mirror. I could not believe what I was seeing. Long, long shadow legs belonging to some kind of creature, long as a 3 story house is tall. And a creature was made of solid black shadow against the purple backdrop of the sky, where the city lights glimmered many miles away. So I was able to see it clearly.
I watched in horror as it paced quickly back and forth across the county road intersection where I had just turned! It moved so quickly, its legs were almost a blur. Its body looked almost like a buffalo or an elephant. And there were no car lights behind me so it could not have been just a shadow of an animal.
Honestly, I don't know what to think. I just drove really fast, because I felt
like it started followed me. And I ran inside the house as fast as I could.
I may move this story to the "Bad Roads" section of the Barrens... Thanks for the story, now let's see if anyone else has seen weird stuff like this. I'm willing to bet I'll hear from someone eventually.
